EIP would like to thank its clients after the firm received a highly favourable recommendation in the 2012 Chambers & Partners guide to leading law firms and practitioners.

EIP achieved a high level ranking in Chambers & Partners , which is compiled entirely on personal recommendations from key clients, and is considered the most highly respected of all guides to legal service providers.

Chambers said: “This dynamic firm has a reputation as being one of the most forward-looking in the market, with a commercial outlook and a commitment to client service”.

In addition, Partners Jerome Spaargaren, head of the EIP Digital practice group, and Heather McCann, received top-tier recommendations as leading practitioners. It is the second consecutive year Heather McCann has been cited as a key individual within the firm.

Clients described Jerome as renowned for his “keen intellect”, while clients said Heather is “reliable, clever and good at thinking round problems”.

EIP is proud to see the key recent developments in the firm, including the six new practice groups which launched last year, were noted by researchers. As always, such a high profile accolade which is based on client opinion is highly valued by the firm, and EIP would like to thank all its clients for their considered praise.

With the launch of the IP litigation practice, EIP Legal, and further practice developments to come, EIP is looking forward to building on its success over the next year and further strengthening client relationships.

Semiconductors have always been a critical technology but have grown significantly in strategic importance in recent years. They have become the key building block in developing and existing markets, including quantum computing, edge computing, AI, IoT, automotive, cellular data technology, smartphones, robotics, and many more. The complex designs and innovations that power semiconductor manufacturing are invaluable both to the world’s economy and technological advancement. Consequently, the semiconductor industry has found itself at the centre of geopolitical tensions, especially between the United States and China. It has become a prime target for cyberattacks and intellectual-property (IP) theft. As such, companies operating in this area must be more vigilant in protecting their intellectual assets.
