Daniel is a partner and a European patent attorney in our Stockholm team. He specialises in the field of Electronics and IT with a focus on software technology. His broad expertise covers wireless technologies, audio/video coding and artificial intelligence. Daniel is well placed to advise clients on the new Unified Patent Court (UPC) - see further details at EIP Amar, our alliance created to support clients in any litigation before the UPC.
Before he joined EIP in 2022, Daniel was CEO at a deep tech company developing AI technology aimed at providing better search in unstructured data. Previously, he has worked as an IP leader at IKEA and consultant at AWA. With his extensive experience from business roles, private practice and working in-house, he has both technical expertise and a commercial understanding of businesses. He was also a regional team leader at AWA and managed both the patent teams and the legal teams.
Daniel holds a Master’s degree in Media Technology and Engineering from Linköping University in Sweden. The area of his research includes signal analysis, computer graphics and artificial intelligence.
