James Hindle

James is experienced in handling patents in technical fields including computer software, telecommunications, consumer electronics and medical imaging. He has drafted and prosecuted patent applications in the UK, Europe and worldwide for clients ranging from SMEs to major corporations. James is well placed to advise clients on the Unified Patent Court (UPC).

James is also regularly involved in patent litigation matters and has provided litigation support for proceedings before the UK high court relating to telecommunications standards essential patents.

Prior to joining EIP, James worked as a patent examiner at the UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO). This gives him a valuable perspective when drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
