Over the years, we’ve built a reputation as a strategic, forward-thinking IP firm with deep expertise in complex patents. Our strength lies in our multidisciplinary and collaborative approach, bringing together litigators, patent attorneys and commercial IP lawyers to deliver high-value advice internationally. We also excel in managing global portfolios and driving innovation in new technology areas.
We were founded in London in 2000 by Jerome Spaargaren, whose work in patent law quickly gained recognition for its clarity and strategic depth.
His reputation led to early collaborations with major clients, setting the foundation for the firm’s growth. Several members of our current board joined Jerome in those early days, bringing together experience from both private practice and in-house roles at multinational companies. EIP was built on a shared vision: to deliver technically rigorous, commercially strategic intellectual property advice across the full lifecycle of innovation.
