Daniel Enetoft

Daniel specialises in the field of Electronics and IT with a focus on software technology. His broad expertise covers wireless technologies, audio/video coding and artificial intelligence. Daniel is well placed to advise clients on the Unified Patent Court (UPC).

Before he joined EIP in 2022, Daniel was CEO at a deep tech company developing AI technology aimed at providing better search in unstructured data. Previously, he has worked as an IP leader at IKEA and consultant at AWA. With his extensive experience from business roles, private practice and working in-house, he has both technical expertise and a commercial understanding of businesses. He was also a regional team leader at AWA and managed both the patent teams and the legal teams.

Daniel has significant experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications for innovation relating to software, such as video analytics and video encoding, neural networks in various applications, user interfaces, signal processing, and extended reality (AR/VR) applications. He also advises clients on essentiality evaluation, patent infringement and validity matters of Standard-essential patents in telecommunications and video and audio coding.

Daniel holds a Master’s degree in Media Technology and Engineering from Linköping University in Sweden. The area of his research includes signal analysis, computer graphics and artificial intelligence.
