Simona joined EIP having completed a Master’s degree in Materials Science at Oxford University. Her studies covered a wide range of areas from Nanomaterials and Engineering Ceramics to Materials for Energy Production. Specifically, the focus of her final year research project was Sustainable High Entropy Alloys.
She has also participated in projects and researched on increasing fatigue strength of Fe-based sintered components and evaluated the processing of tantalum sheets. Simona speaks Slovak, French, Czech, as well as English and is currently learning German.
At EIP, Simona has worked on drafting and prosecuting patent applications in various technical areas including mechanical engineering and materials science, aerospace structures and systems, consumer products, goods transportation, heavy machinery, and packaging. She has a particular interest in inventions in the sustainable materials space.
She has now completed her Postgraduate certificate in Intellectual Property at Bournemouth University, and it currently working towards becoming a Chartered Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney.
