Jon Hauser

Jon is a UK and European Patent Attorney with rich experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications worldwide, as well as supporting litigation and performing pre-litigation patent analysis. He has advised clients ranging from small start-ups to large multi-national corporations in dealing with patents across a number of fields, with a particular focus on mobile telecommunication, video coding, software and user interfaces, cloud storage server architecture, encryption, electric vehicles, building security systems, clean technology and medical devices. Jon is well placed to advise clients on the new Unified Patent Court (UPC) - see further details at EIP Amar, our alliance created to support clients in any litigation before the UPC.

Prior to joining EIP, Jon regularly attended Examining Division and Opposition Oral Proceedings at the European Patent Office. He has represented clients in Oral Proceedings covering a wide variety of technology areas.

Jon holds a PhD in BioPhysics with a Masters-level one-year training program in Functional Nanomaterials. His PhD project focused on synthesis and characterisation of novel nanoscale chemotherapeutics and the study of how these drugs interact with human organ models.
