EIP has recently signed the World Lawyers’ Pledge on Climate Action which shows our commitment to improving our environment. The Pledge was initially drafted by three Research Fellows from the Max Planck Institute with further input from lawyers around the world.

The pledge covers among other parts what legal practitioners can do to integrate climate considerations in their work as well as how to reduce the climate impact of their professional activities.

EIP has committed to the following:

We, the undersigned, firmly believe that together—and by mobilising the tools of our shared vocation—we can make a difference. This requires all of us to recognise and practice individual as well as institutional responsibility for the fate of planet earth, our shared and only home.

EIP CEO Magnus Hallin comments: “We believe it is increasingly important that companies demonstrate their commitment to climate action and change their business to support this.”
