Patent and trademark attorneys EIP have appointed Alice Mastrovito as partner.

Alice is a trademarks specialist and head of EIP Brands, the firm’s trademarks practice group.

She joined EIP in 2009 as a senior associate and becomes the firm’s eighth partner. Alice has vast experience in the trademarks industry with a career spanning over 20 years. Prior to joining EIP she had her own practice for ten years, was a partner at a leading trademark attorney firm and worked in-house for major brand owners.

Alice currently sits on the Joint Examination Board for Patent and Trademark Attorneys and teaches and lectures on trademark law and practice.She has extensive experience in contentious matters relating to trademarks and in advice relating to acquisitions and disposals of brands.

EIP founding partner Jerome Spaargaren said: “We have been delighted with Alice's contribution since joining the firm and are pleased that she has accepted the position of partner in charge of EIP Brands.”

EIP provides intellectual property services from its offices in London, Bath and Cardiff. The firm was recently reorganised into six practice groups in order to clearly represent to clients their areas of expertise and services. The groups are EIP Digital, EIP Life, EIP Green, EIP Brands, EIP Search and EIP Strategy.
