Alice Mastrovito, head of EIP Brands, has been asked to contribute to the next edition of the Community Trade Mark Handbook.

The CTM Handbook is published twice a year by Sweet & Maxwell and details the entire process required for obtaining a CTM from the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM), the EU agency responsible for registering European Community trademarks and designs.

The CTM handbook is a valuable reference tool for trademark professionals as it includes full analysis of the OHIM legislation, case law, practice, and important guidance. It is written by authors with hands-on experience in dealing with the OHIM and is produced in partnership with ITMA and CIPA. Alice will have responsibility for Chapter 7: “Approaches to countering objections under Article 7(1)”.

In addition, Alice sits on the Joint Examination Board for Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys, and teaches and lectures on trademarks.
