Partner Darren Smyth has been announced as a full member of The IPKat team by its founder Jeremy Phillips.

The IPKat is a highly respected and widely-read weblog relating to all aspects of intellectual property, mainly from the UK and European perspective. The IPKat celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Darren’s place on the team follows a successful six-month period as a guest blogger in 2012.

Darren will be making regular contributions to the blog, which can be read here. He said: “I’m proud to be joining the IPKat team, and I look forward to bringing the latest IP news to its readers.” Darren’s posts will focus on his primary interests of patents, particularly in the chemical space, registered designs, and matters Japanese.

Darren will continue to blog on more general matters as the IP Alchemist.
