Iain Russell, the head of EIP Designs, will join a panel of high profile speakers at the Cambridge Innovation Festival where he will speak about the importance of protecting design.

Design Icons: Cambridge Innovation Festival is a celebration of some of the iconic product designs that have been created in Cambridgeshire over the last 40 years. A series of events held during February will showcase to local businesses how to incorporate creativity and design, and their protection, into their working practice.

Iain’s talk at the opening event is aimed at enterprise and startups. It takes place on 1 February at ideaSpace, Hauser Forum, and is organised by Creative Front Cambridgeshire with support from the Design Council. The format includes a line-up of speakers and open discussion.

Sharing the expert panel with Iain is the CEO of the St John’s Innovation Centre in Cambridge; Billy Boyle of Owlstone Nanotech; and an investment fund manager.
