Two experienced attorneys from EIP held a webinar for CIPA members on software patenting.

Matt Lawman and Robert Squibbs’ talk was part of a series of CIPA webinars entitled ‘IP Outside your Comfort Zone’ aimed at updating patent attorneys in those areas where they don’t routinely work.

The webinar on 11 October looked at patenting of computer-related inventions, outlined the types of protection available, and recent developments in case law.

Matt and Robert are both highly-experienced in the field of software patenting. Prior to joining EIP, Matt worked for several years as IP Counsel at Hewlett-Packard patenting and licensing computer-related inventions. Robert joined EIP after more than 20 years of working for Hewlett-Packard in many areas of computer technology.
