Experienced attorney joins EIP’s Leeds office

EIP have appointed an experienced patent attorney with expertise in a range of engineering fields, including electronics and telecoms.

Laurence Brown is a qualified UK and European patent attorney and is based at the firm’s office in Leeds. He joins EIP after more than ten years working in private practice IP firms in London and Leeds.

Laurence has drafted and prosecuted patent applications for consumer electronics, liquid crystal displays, image processing and display interfaces. He also has significant experience in medical devices, particularly stents and minimally invasive surgical instruments.

As well as drafting and prosecuting patent applications, Laurence has represented clients in opposition proceedings at the European Patent Office and coordinated contentious proceedings before the UK IPO.
