Biography

Anders Hansson is a Partner at EIP based in Stockholm office and brings nearly two decades of experience advising clients across advanced technology sectors. A European Patent Attorney with a strong technical foundation, Anders specialises in innovations involving robotics, audio and video coding, applied mathematics, and AI‑driven systems.


Before joining EIP in 2026, Anders spent six years as a partner at a leading Swedish patent attorney firm, where he worked with a wide range of clients from emerging technology companies to global industry leaders. His work covered all aspects of patent practice, including drafting, prosecution, portfolio strategy, freedom‑to‑operate analyses, and due diligence in complex technical fields. Prior to entering private practice, Anders spent four years at Ericsson as an IPR Commercialization Manager in the company’s patent assertion team. There, he contributed to licensing activities and supported global litigation projects within one of the world’s largest telecoms patent portfolios. Anders began his career as a patent attorney at AWA in 2007, gaining broad experience in drafting, prosecution, and early‑stage patent strategy.


His work has been recognised internationally, including being named an IP Star (2025) by Managing Intellectual Property. Anders regularly contributes to legal commentary and technical forums and has authored and co‑authored works in both mathematics and patent law.


Anders holds a PhD in Mathematics from KTH Stockholm and an MSc in Applied Physics from Lund University. He is multilingual, with professional fluency in English and strong working proficiency in German and French.
