
Carla Lewis is an Executive Paralegal with a specialist focus on registered designs and a broad background in global patent prosecution. As a Client Lead Paralegal, she is the first point of contact for both her clients and internal teams, ensuring the smooth running of complex IP portfolios. Carla's experience spans end-to-end management of UK, European and US patent prosecution, PCT and national/regional phase applications worldwide, UK and EU registered designs, EPO oppositions and appeals, unitary patent and opt-out requests. She also plays a key role in mentoring junior paralegals and promoting best practices across the team.
Carla has worked with global corporations, start-ups, and everyone in between, across a wide range of technical sectors including aerospace, mechanical and electrical engineering, computer systems and software, telecommunications, biotechnology, health and medical technology, and pharmaceuticals.Carla holds the European Patent Administration Certification (EPAC, 2024) and the CIPA Certificate in Patent Administration (2020), and is currently studying for the Advanced Patent Paralegal Course. She graduated with First Class Honours in Psychology (BSc) and brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to her work. Her specialist knowledge in design and patent rights, and her commitment to excellence make her a trusted partner for clients navigating the complexities of IP protection.
