Charlie is a European Patent attorney with over six years’ experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications for a range of clients including SMEs and large multinationals. He also has experience supporting patent litigation including pre-litigation patent analysis and defensive patent invalidity searching. Charlie's work has focused on electronics, video coding, database management systems, image processing, machine learning, and telecoms.
Charlie joined EIP having obtained a first class Master's degree in Physics at University College London.
His final year project was a study into increasing the efficiency of reluctance accelerators by analysing a wide range of possible magnetic sheath geometries. This included both setting up and running simulations of calculated magnetic coupling to a projectile for various sheaths, and testing these findings by constructing a reluctance accelerator.
