Charlotte Done

Charlotte Done is a Patent Paralegal at EIP, with over eight years of experience in patent prosecution and intellectual property portfolio management. Charlotte passed the CIPA Introductory Patent Paralegal Course in 2022 and has developed broad practical experience supporting clients throughout the patent prosecution process.

Charlotte has experience managing UK, European, PCT and US patent applications, as well as coordinating national phase filings across multiple jurisdictions. Her work covers a wide range of prosecution matters, from new filings through to grant, and she is experienced in managing deadlines, preparing and filing formal documentation, coordinating with foreign associates and maintaining patent portfolios. Charlotte also has experience supporting EPO opposition and appeal proceedings, as well as handling matters relating to Unitary Patents, UPC opt-out requests and Registered Designs.

Working closely with patent attorneys and clients, Charlotte helps to ensure that complex international portfolios are managed efficiently and that procedural requirements and deadlines are carefully monitored. She is accustomed to coordinating prosecution across multiple territories and dealing with the administrative and procedural requirements of different patent offices.

Charlotte works with clients across a diverse range of technical fields, including computer-implemented technologies, life sciences and chemistry and has experience adapting to the different requirements of both individual matters and larger international portfolios. Alongside her patent prosecution work, she has experience with Registered Designs, providing support across a broader range of intellectual property rights.
