Biography

Eva-Marie holds an MSc in Medical Technology from KTH Royal Institute of Technology. With an academic background combining medical science and technology from her double bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Technology at the University of Heidelberg and Mannheim, her expertise bridges healthcare and engineering.

During her studies in Sweden, she served as a Research Assistant at KTH, complementing coursework focused on AI, physics and medical imaging technology. Her academic career concluded with a Master’s thesis project focused on leveraging diffusion models for anomaly detection in chest X-rays. Her research centered on automatically removing artifacts, caused by surgical tools or implants, to enable downstream segmentation of pathological tissue. Alongside her academic accomplishments, she brings practical industry experience, having gained hands-on research and development knowledge as a working student at both Siemens Healthineers and Carl Zeiss Meditec.
