Lisa Schmitt

Lisa Schmitt is a Patent Paralegal with experience supporting patent attorneys across UK, European, French and international patent matters. She has worked on the filing and prosecution of patent applications, including PCT applications and national phase entries, as well as UK design applications and a wide range of patent formalities.

Prior to joining EIP, Lisa worked as an IP Administrator and Assistante Brevets at Withers & Rogers, supporting attorneys in both the Bristol and Paris offices. Her experience includes supporting UK, European and French patent matters, international filings, portfolio administration and deadline management. She joined EIP's Cardiff office as a Patent Paralegal in 2026.

Lisa has developed a strong foundation in intellectual property through both her academic studies and professional experience. She holds the CIPA Certificate in Patent Administration (2026), awarded with Merit, and an LLM in Intellectual Property Law from Cardiff University, also awarded with Merit. As a native French speaker, she is particularly well placed to support French-related patent matters and international clients.
