Maximilian joined EIP's Litigation team in Düsseldorf in 2022 from a well-known international law firm where he had spent several years working as a research associate. The main focus in his previous role was on dispute resolution, in particular, commercial law, international arbitration, litigation and ADR. Maximilian is well placed to advise clients on the Unified Patent Court (UPC).
Maximilian's areas of expertise include patent litigation at all relevant patent infringement courts in Germany. He regularly acts in disputes with a licensing background involving a FRAND defence. He advises and represents domestic and international companies from various industries, most notably, electronics and telecommunications.
Maximilian holds a law degree from the University of Cologne, where he studied with a focus on intellectual property and competition law. During his legal clerkship, Maximilian was trained in Cologne’s District Court and Public Prosecutor's Office, as well as in a leading international law firm in the field of corporate and capital market law.
