Biography

Rebecca specialises in mechanical-related inventions, with experience in fields such as aerospace, heavy machinery, consumer devices and sports technology. She enjoys taking clients through the patent life cycle, from invention harvesting and devising patent filing strategies, through to multi-jurisdictional prosecution and freedom-to-operate reviews. She has private practice experience advising on patent matters for clients from SMEs to multinationals and is skilled at liaising with clients, from inventors to directors, and with foreign attorneys and in-house IP practitioners.

Rebecca enjoys mentoring trainee attorneys and paralegals as they prepare for qualification examinations, regularly providing internal training sessions. She is also an active member of multiple DE&I groups within EIP, promoting gender balance in the profession and a commitment to giving back to our communities.

Rebecca holds a first class masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bath and a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Bournemouth University.
