Biography

Tommaso is a Patent Scientist based in EIP’s Sweden office. He is particularly interested in technically complex inventions in areas such as quantum technologies, AI, software and advanced physics-based technologies.

He holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Hertfordshire and previously worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Mathematical Physics at Trinity College Dublin. His technical background spans quantum mechanics, particle and solid-state physics, mathematical modelling, numerical simulation and machine learning.

Before moving into patent work, Tommaso taught mathematics and physics at university level. This experience strengthened his ability to understand complex subject matter and communicate technical ideas clearly and precisely. He is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
