Four associates from EIP are celebrating after successfully passing their CIPA Advanced UK patent exams.

Software and electronics specialist Ben Hoyle passed the P2 and P6 papers to become fully UK qualified. Ben, who is based in the EIP regional office in Bath, is already a qualified European patent attorney.

Computer software and telecommunications specialist Sunny Bansal, who is based in the London office, passed the P2 and P3 papers. Jonathan Clarke, who deals with patents relating to electronics and computer-implemented inventions, passed P2, while computer software, hardware and electronics specialist Stephen Scott, passed P4.

Partner Jerome Spaargaren said: “I am delighted to announce the achievements of Ben, Sunny, Jonathan and Steve in passing their UK Advanced patent exams. Congratulations must also go to Ben Hoyle for becoming a fully qualified UK and European patent attorney.”
