Building a Resilient Quantum Patent Portfolio: Winning the Race to File First

Partner Darren Smyth will be a speaker at the 18th annual CIPA Congress in a session entitled ‘Taking a Broad View of Designs’.

The 2013 CIPA Congress takes place on 3-4 October at the Lancaster London Hotel. The theme of this year’s event is ‘All change in IP – optimising IP strategies in times of uncertainty’.

Darren’s fellow speakers are Eva Blum from Swedish law firm Vinge, and Dr Henning Hartwig from German IP law firm Bardehle Pagenberg. Chairing the session will be Dr Michael Jewess of Research in IP.

EIP named one of Europe's leading patent firms for the eighth year running, with gold in five sectors

EIP has again been named one of Europe's leading patent law firms by the Financial Times. In its 2026 ranking, EIP earned gold in five of the six technology sectors, and silver in the sixth, Materials and Nanotechnology. It is the eighth year running the firm has featured, every year since the ranking began in 2019.
