EIP appoint electronics associate Anand Varu

EIP has appointed associate Anand Varu to its electronics practice group EIP Digital.

Anand, who becomes the firm’s thirtieth professional, has technical expertise which complements a number of EIP’s practice groups. He has particular knowledge of mobile telecommunications in areas such as communication standards, antenna circuitry, software, augmented reality applications, social and contextual media services, signal processing, networking, optoelectronics, encryption and security, and image processing.

In additional to four years of experience in the patent profession, Anand worked as a systems engineer in the defence industry for MBDA Systems, specialising in radar applications, seeker systems and control systems.

EIP partner Jerome Spaargaren said: “Anand’s background in industry coupled with his fantastic academic record means he will be a fantastic addition to the practice.”
