EIP will hold a half-day IP workshop for members of the Business Innovation Group (BIG) Kent network on 30 April.
BIG Kent is an umbrella organisation for the manufacturing, engineering, and technology sectors in Kent and the South East. It was set up in 2009 by the University of Greenwich with the aim of promoting innovation, partnerships, and growth among local businesses.
The event will include the presentation of a practical case study by partners Paula Flutter and Gary Moss covering development and acquisition of IP rights, IP licensing, IP due diligence and IP enforcement. Partner and Patentise expert James Seymour will give an outline of the Patent Box regime and explain what companies need to do to ensure that they qualify for the tax relief.
Gary, Paula, and James will also be on hand to provide free IP advice on a 1-2-1 basis. Their IP Clinics are each 15 minutes long, but please book in advance as availability is limited.
The workshop takes place at the University of Greenwich, Chatham, Kent, from 9am-1pm on 30 April, and includes lunch and networking. To register for this free event or to book your place in the IP Clinic, email info@big-kent.org.uk or call 01634 883912.
