Exam success for EIP patent attorneys

EIP patent attorneys are celebrating having passed their CIPA Advanced UK patent exams.

Three associates, Sunny Bansal, Stephen Scott, and Anand Varu, passed their remaining exams to become fully qualified UK patent attorneys. Sunny is now qualified as a UK and European patent attorney. Sam Town and Gareth Edwards both passed their P2 papers.

Partner Jerome Spaargaren said: “This is a wonderful set of results and demonstrates the hard work put in by Sunny, Steve, Anand, Sam and Gareth. I would like to congratulate them on their achievements on behalf of everyone at EIP.”

EIP named one of Europe's leading patent firms for the eighth year running, with gold in five sectors

EIP has again been named one of Europe's leading patent law firms by the Financial Times. In its 2026 ranking, EIP earned gold in five of the six technology sectors, and silver in the sixth, Materials and Nanotechnology. It is the eighth year running the firm has featured, every year since the ranking began in 2019.
