Building a Resilient Quantum Patent Portfolio: Winning the Race to File First

Iain Russell, the head of the EIP Designs practice group, has been invited to contribute to the Community Designs Handbook.

The Community Designs Handbook, published annually by Sweet & Maxwell, is one of the leading texts on Registered Community Designs (RCDs) for patent and trademark attorneys.

The book provides a detailed description of the law and practice relating to designs in the European Community. It takes a practical approach to the procedures involved in filing an RCD, with case studies included to assist understanding. Iain will be responsible for Chapter 3: Making a Registered Community Design Application.

Iain is a European Design Attorney as well as a UK and European Patent Attorney. He is already a published author, having written How to Pass P3, the first-ever book on the UK patent drafting examination, and was responsible for a chapter in the European Patents Handbook on the patentability of computer-implemented inventions for a number of years.
