Biography

Lucie Jones is Head of Client Services at EIP, drawing on 20+ years in IP across the UK, France, Japan and New Zealand. With her background as a paralegal, she has built a reputation for proactive, precise portfolio management and clear communication skills she now applies to shaping client service strategies, workflows and data quality standards that keep complex patent portfolios running smoothly. Her expertise spans UK, European and US patent prosecution; PCT and national phase filings worldwide; EPO oppositions and appeals; disclosure requirements in the US and India; and end to end portfolio strategy for portfolios of all sizes.

Lucie has worked with multinationals, start-ups and individual inventors, in various fields such as medical devices, oncology focused biotechnology, sustainable energy, telecommunications and global payments technology, collaborating closely with partner IP firms worldwide. Lucie was awarded 'Highly Commended' in the Best Intellectual Property Paralegal Award category at the National Paralegal Awards 2024. She is an elected member of the CIPA Paralegal Committee and achieved the European Patent Administration Certification (EPAC, 2022) and the CIPA Certificate in Patent Administration. A native French speaker, she holds a Master's degree in Art History from Paris Sorbonne.
