We are delighted to announce that Anders Hansson has joined EIP as a Partner on 19 January 2026, bringing nearly two decades of experience across private practice, industry, and high‑technology sectors. Anders’ expertise spans robotics, audio and video coding, applied mathematics, and advanced AI, areas in which he has supported clients ranging from innovative start‑ups to major multinational organisations.
Anders joins from a Partner position in a Swedish IP firm where he spent six years and advised on patent strategy, drafting, prosecution, and contentious matters. Prior to that, he spent four years at Ericsson in the role of IPR Commercialization Manager, working within their patent assertion team on licensing and litigation‑related activities across global markets. His career began in 2007 at a large leading Swedish IP firm, where he gained broad experience across drafting, technical analysis, and contentious patent matters.
With a background in both advanced technical fields and commercial IP decision‑making, Anders brings a distinctive blend of analytical depth and practical industry understanding. He holds a PhD in Mathematics from KTH Stockholm and an MSc in Applied Physics from Lund University. He is also multilingual, with professional fluency in English and strong working proficiency in German and French.
Anders has been recognised with IP Star (2025) – Managing IP and is a regular contributor in legal commentary for Beck Online Commentary on the Unified Patent Court (live since 2025, updated quarterly), Unitary Patent and Unified Patent Court (2nd ed.), and more insightful publications. His academic, technical, and commercial experience will further enhance our ability to support clients with strategic and complex patent matters across Europe.
